Import a boundary (KMZ / KML / GeoJSON), then run DEM terrain analysis (cut & fill, slope bands), identify natural & man-made features, and screen flood / dune / habitat impact — with 2D + 3D views and multi-format export.
DEM: Copernicus GLO-30 (ESA, EGM2008, ~30 m; Terrarium/SRTM fallback) · vector features: OpenStreetMap (Overpass) · flood: JRC RP100 · habitat: WDPA + MoEFCC. Public data — verify with a ground survey / project DEM & CAD.
Estimate the carbon credits a solar or wind project on your land could generate by displacing fossil grid power — based on satellite climatology for your exact location.
Add a location and project size, then run the estimate to see annual and lifetime carbon credits, their indicative value, and what that offset is equivalent to.
GreenSiteX enriches land across India with 40+ geospatial data layers, an AI Suitability Score and a 24-factor risk screen — so developers and landowners see a parcel's resource, grid, terrain and environmental story at a glance, before spending a rupee on site visits.
Each listing is scored against the same institutional methodology developers use in-house — the highest-and-best-use signal on one side, the environmental and legal red-flags on the other.
A single 0–100 score blending solar & wind resource, terrain, grid proximity, land use and accessibility — weighted by technology (solar, wind, BESS or hybrid).
Environmental and legal exclusions are screened automatically — flood, seismic, cyclone, CRZ, protected areas, wetlands and critical habitat — so a deal-breaker never surfaces late in diligence.
Every layer that drives the score is also yours to explore, overlay and export in LandX — sourced from public authoritative datasets, not guesswork.
Sources include NASA POWER, Copernicus/JRC, ESA Sentinel-2, SRTM, WDPA, IMD, CGWB, ISRIC SoilGrids, OpenStreetMap and India's national spatial portals. Layer availability varies by location.
The same data feeds a suite of self-serve tools — free to explore, no download or GIS licence required.
Scores aren't a black box. GreenSiteX applies published weighting methods and names its data sources, its assumptions and — importantly — its gaps.
Landowners get a free intelligence report on their parcel. Developers screen a whole district in minutes.

Ground-mount solar lives and dies by irradiance, terrain and grid distance. GreenSiteX scores every parcel on exactly those factors — so you shortlist land that actually pencils out, not land that merely looks flat on a map.
Each parcel is measured against the criteria that drive a solar project's yield and cost.
Global horizontal irradiance from NASA POWER, with P50/P75/P90 exceedance for bankable yield.
Low slope and favourable aspect cut earthwork and racking cost — scored from SRTM terrain.
Distance to the nearest substation and line, plus available evacuation capacity.
Large, regular, contiguous parcels pack more MW per acre with less dead area.
JRC floodplain, seismic and CRZ screening keep a costly surprise out of diligence.
Bearing capacity and expansive-clay checks size your pile foundations correctly.
Wind is unforgiving about resource and logistics. GreenSiteX extrapolates wind speed to hub height, screens turbine-transport access and settlement setbacks, and ranks land on power density — not just average speed.
Resource, exposure and buildability — the trio that decides a wind site.
Speed extrapolated to 100–200 m hub height via power law, scored on wind power density.
Ridgelines and open exposure lift yield; ruggedness (TRI) flags turbulence and complex flow.
Highway and road proximity for moving blades, towers and cranes to site.
Distance-to-settlement buffers keep noise and safety compliance in view up front.
Substation distance and capacity for getting generation onto the network.
Protected areas, Great Indian Bustard habitat, seismic and cyclone return-period screening.
BESS wins on location, not acreage — a compact footprint right at a strong grid injection point. GreenSiteX finds land close to substations and high-demand nodes, screened for flood, fire-setback and seismic safety.
Storage economics hinge on grid position and site safety far more than land size.
Proximity to substations and available capacity — the single biggest driver of BESS value.
Small, regular parcels near demand centres beat sprawling land for storage.
Floodplain screening protects containers and power electronics from water risk.
Distance from settlements and sensitive receptors supports fire-safety compliance.
BIS seismic-zone data flags where structural design needs to account for higher risk.
All-weather access for container delivery, augmentation and O&M.
Green hydrogen needs the whole package — cheap co-located solar or wind, water, large contiguous land and evacuation to demand or ports. GreenSiteX screens all of it in one pass, so you site electrolysers where the economics work.
Electrolysis at scale demands power, water and space — together, in one place.
Strong solar and/or wind on or beside the parcel to keep renewable power cost low.
Groundwater depth from CGWB and proximity to water sources — feedstock for electrolysis.
Room for generation, electrolyser, storage and balance-of-plant on one footprint.
Connection for hybrid firming and export of surplus power.
Highway, rail and port proximity for offtake, ammonia export and logistics.
Flood, seismic, protected-area and CRZ screening for a large industrial footprint.
GreenSiteX is a marketplace, a geospatial data engine and a GIS toolkit rolled into one workflow. Here's how a piece of land moves from a map pin to a bankable renewable project.
Every stage is backed by real data and self-serve tools — no spreadsheets, no scattered vendors.
Landowners and brokers add a parcel — location, area, GIS boundary and terms — in under 10 minutes.
The parcel is scored automatically against 40+ data layers and a 24-factor model — resource, grid, terrain, land use, environment and hazard.
Developers filter verified, pre-scored parcels by technology, grid distance, suitability and risk — or post a requirement for owners to answer.
Draw an AOI, run terrain and site-identification analysis, and review khasra numbers, documents and substation details — with 2D/3D GIS and multi-format export.
Model project finance, estimate carbon credits, negotiate inside the platform, and finalise the lease, sale or JV.
Whether you own land or you're hunting for it, the platform meets you where you are.
We're building the infrastructure that connects the land India needs with the developers building its renewable future — with transparency, verified data and zero friction.
India's renewable targets are enormous — and the single biggest bottleneck isn't panels, turbines or capital. It's land. Finding suitable, project-ready parcels is slow, opaque and dominated by intermediaries. Landowners rarely know what their land is worth to a developer; developers burn months and lakhs on field visits to rule sites out.
GreenSiteX replaces that with a single, data-rich marketplace. Every parcel arrives pre-scored on the factors that actually matter, so both sides negotiate from facts — not hearsay.
We combine three things most platforms keep separate: a two-sided marketplace for renewable land, a geospatial data engine that enriches every parcel with 40+ authoritative layers, and a browser-based GIS toolkit for real diligence. The result is a workflow that takes land from a map pin to a signed lease, sale or JV.
We name our data sources, our assumptions and our gaps. No black boxes.
Listings are checked, not just uploaded — so trust is the default, not the exception.
Decisions that took months should take days. The data is already there.
List your land, discover sites, or partner with us.
A marketplace is only as good as the trust behind its listings. Here's how GreenSiteX verifies parcels, screens land titles and sources its data — so what you see is what you get.
Listers are registered and their claim to the parcel is checked before a listing goes live.
The GIS boundary is validated against the map — no phantom acreage or mislocated pins.
Our LandMaster partners scrutinise land-title details at the local level where deeper checks are needed.
Every parcel is scored against authoritative public datasets, with sources and disclaimers surfaced.
GreenSiteX doesn't invent numbers. Every scored factor traces back to a named, authoritative dataset.
NASA POWER, Copernicus/JRC, Sentinel-2, SRTM, WDPA, IMD, CGWB, ISRIC and India's national portals.
Every analysis reports what's modelled, what's sampled and what isn't yet wired — no overclaiming.
Owners stay anonymous until they choose to respond; sensitive details are shared on your terms.
Everything landowners and developers ask most — and if you don't find it here, our team is a message away.
